I had the pleasure to interview Tracy before in a couple of occasions and not only I love what she talks about, but her passion is totally infectious.

As an Italian, I totally get it. Food is not just eating. Food brings families together and sparkle conversations. When I was growing up, I believe I spent more time in the kitchen and around that table then anywhere else. And I loved it. That’s where I wanted to be.

So, although food is not just about eating at home, how do we make that transition into the event industry?

Tracy Stuckrath, CSEP, CMM, CHC, CFPM, founder and chief connecting officer of Thrive! Meetings & Events is a event planner and consultant who is one of just 275 people in the world to hold a designation as a Certified Special Events Professional(CSEP), among several other industry certifications. Her mission is to make the world healthier one event at a time by educating the hospitality industry how to successfully accommodate dietary needs—food allergies, medical conditions, lifestyle preferences, religious/cultural practices—at events.

What did we talk about? Accessibility, dietary requirements and how to make food fun.
