Irina Trofimovskaya started her event management blog The MICE Blog in 2011 after working in the events, hospitality and tourism sectors. She successfully gained international work experience from working, among others at the London Olympics Hospitality team with Jet Set Sports and as event coordinator at IBM. In 2014 Irina founded #EventPlannersTalk, a weekly Twitter chat for global event planners and suppliers to network, exchange knowledge and best practice. In 2015 she introduced #EventPlannersTalk live events to connect the online and offline communities, thus extending event life-cycle and encouraging knowledge sharing between planners and suppliers also face-to-face. Irina shared her knowledge on what planners should consider when choosing a MICE destination, accessibility, sustainability, size, local convention bureau and collaboration.
